Virtual Globe Radar

The Virtual Globe Radar Project addresses radar beam occultation by terrain, vegetation and manmade structures. WxAnalyst has developed techniques to estimate static and mobile radar beam occultation anywhere. Recent advances include efficient and automated GIS calculations at very high spatial resolution, inclusion of manmade structures, 3D visualization using Virtual Globe technologies, and the impacts of Anomalous Propagation.

WxAzygyTM Tools for Google Earth enables real time data production and visualization in Google Earth. The WxAzygy Animation interface allows precise control of the display time and time interval. Additional controls support query capability on data layers, enabling true GIS functionality in the Virtual Globe environment. The WxAzygy capability is now in development for interactive modification of in flight laser pointing and scanning strategies.
